The Dream: To love others with no strings attached.

Going to church can really be a struggle for some people and it can be surrounded by terms like boring, hypocrites, irrelevant, judgmental, or guilt. But what if church was a "people" instead of just "a place to go"?

What if there was a faith community that welcomed you regardless of your beliefs or past, and didn’t pretend that we had it all together? We both could know upfront, that we are messed up. What if your teens did not leave their faith at the age of 18? What if you left church with friends feeling refreshed, refueled, and encouraged instead of guilty and judged? What if the city of Fate was genuinely thankful for flipside people because of the blessing we had become in our community?

What if there was a people who loved you with no strings attached? Do you need someone to journey with in a non-judgemental relational community? We believe we can make a difference in the world through loving others more than ourselves. Is this easy? No, but it does sound like the flipside of typical church and we are flipside people. There is a flipside to everything!

I believe there are many people who have been looking and praying about belonging to a community who is on mission like Flipside People. Our friends called us a church for people who don't like church. We might not meet on Sunday mornings anymore, but we are active and loving people. Please conact us if we can help or encourage you.

Flipside People was a missional community in Fate, Texas (25 miles east of downtown Dallas) that lived for the “what if”. We do not have gatherings any longer. We were not a church to go to, but a people to belong to. We were more about grace and less about guilt. We did not go to church, we were the church. Flipside People still live and love others in the Rockwall area.
